경원선 문화완행 열차는 동두천을 지나는 5개 역(지행역~소요산역)을 중심으로 지역별 주제를 설정해 다양한 공연 및 문화 활동을 보여주는 행사로, 행사는 파랑새 동화구연단의 어유소 장군 극화를 시작으로 어르신 풍물반의 길놀이 공연, 한지붕 국악예술단의 난타공연 등이 이어졌으며, 댄스스포츠, 시낭송, 송서율창, 경기민요, 색소폰 연주 등 다채로운 문화행사가 계속됐다고 했다.

이날 최용덕 동두천시장은 지역의 예술인들을 격려하며 “추운 날씨에도 오늘 공연을 준비해 준 예술인들에게 감사하며 앞으로도 문화예술이 살아 숨 쉬는 도시를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
