[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시보건소는 오는 3월 24일까지 관내 어린이집, 유치원, 학교를 대상으로 2023년 아토피・천식 안심학교 참여기관을 모집하고 4월부터 12월까지 운영한다고 전했다.

아토피・천식 안심학교는 아토피 피부염, 천식, 알레르기 비염 등 알레르기 질환에 대한 정확한 정보와 검증된 관리 방법을 교육하고, 알레르기 질환이 있는 어린이와 학생이 해당 기관에서 건강하게 생활하고 학습할 수 있도록 지원하는 학교 중심의 예방관리 프로그램이다.  

선정된 안심학교 학생들의 건강실태조사를 통하여 고위험군의 관리, 알레르기 질환 예방관리교육을 시행하고, 교육자료, 보습제 지원 등 질환을 스스로 관리하고 예방할 수 있는 능력 향상을 위한 다양한 정보와 혜택을 지원 받을 수 있다.

태백시보건소 관계자는 “생활환경의 변화로 아토피, 천식 등 알레르기성 질환 환아의 발생이 증가하는 만큼 아동이 학교(어린이집, 유치원포함)에서 안전하게 생활할 수 있도록 ‘아토피・천식 안심학교’에 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”라고 전했다.
