[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시는 20일 오후 태백시청 소회의실에서 관내 건설업 대표들과 만나 건설업계의 건의사항 및 애로사항을 듣는 소통 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 원자재 가격 폭등, 물류비용 상승 등 최근 대내외적 악재로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 건설업계의 목소리를 청취하고, 향후 건설산업 발전 방향을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

건설업은 일자리 창출 효과 등 지역경제에 미치는 영향이 큰 만큼, 시는 관련 산업 활성화를 위한 실효성 있는 방안을 강구해 민생경제 위기 극복을 적극적으로 도모하겠다는 방침이다.

이날 간담회에는 권형기 대한건설협회 태백시회 회장, 이후진 대한전문건설협회 태백시협의회 회장 등 관내 건설업체 대표 15명이 참석 했다.

이상호 태백시장은 “건설업은 지역경제 활성화나 고용 증대, SOC 인프라 공급 등 여러 방면에서 중요한 산업”이라며 “지역업체 하도급 참여 확대, 페이퍼컴퍼니 근절, 관내 업체 우선 발주, 균등한 수의 계약 배분 등 지역 건설산업 활성화를 위해 노력하겠다”라고 말했다. 

또한 “한 번의 간담회로 그칠 것이 아니라, 앞으로 지역 건설 산업 활성화를 위해 정기적으로 대화할 수 있는 자리를 마련하도록 노력하겠다” 라고 말했다.
