[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시립도서관이 영어책에 대한 두려움을 해소하고 깊이있는 영어독서 계기를 제공하기 위해 25일부터 6월 24일까지 총 12회에 걸쳐, 매주 토요일 영어동화읽기 교실 프로그램을 운영한다. 

참가 신청은 오는 14일 화요일 10시부터 태백시립도서관 누리집 독서프로그램 신청에서 선착순으로 신청을 받는다. 모집인원은 3개반 15명씩 총 45명이며 픽쳐북반(1~4학년), 스토리반(1~4학년), 리딩북반(3~6학년)으로 단계별로 중복 신청이 가능하다.

태백시 관계자는 "영어동화읽기 교실을 통해 어린이들이 영어독서에 대한 흥미를 갖고 다양한 독서활동을 할 수 있는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.
