[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 5일 제285차 안전점검의 날을 맞이해 '물놀이 안전수칙'과 '보행자 우선도로' 홍보 캠페인을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

본격적인 여름 휴가철을 맞아 여름철 안전한 물놀이를 위한 행동요령과 지난 7월 12일부터 시행된 ‘보행자 우선도로’를 홍보했다.

보행자 우선도로란 차도와 보도가 분리되지 않은 도로에서 보행자의 안전과 편의를 위해 차량보다 보행자 통행이 우선하도록 지정한 도로다. 보행자 우선도로에서는 보행자 통행 방해 또는 보호 불이행 시 최대 5만 원의 범칙금 또는 벌점 10점이 부여될 수 있다.

시 관계자는 “피서객과 시민들이 안전사고 없이 물놀이를 즐기는 휴가가 되길 바란다.”면서 “시민 생활과 밀접한 주요시설 등을 사전에 점검하고 위험요소를 해소하는 ‘2022 국가안전대진단’에도 많은 관심과 참여 바란다.”고 전했다.
