이에 가평소방서는 물놀이 안전사고 방지를 위해 지난 1일부터 오는 8월 31일까지 119시민수상구조대를 근접 배치하여 수상안전 확보, 환자 응급처치, 구명조끼 대여 및 안전사고 예방 캠페인을 실시하고 있다고 밝혔다.

신열우 소방청장은 물놀이 안전표지판 설치 현황 등 안전관리 실태를 전반적으로 점검하고 119시민수상구조대 근무자를 격려하며“여름 휴가철을 맞아 전국에서 방문하는 국민들이 안전한 여름을 보낼 수 있도록 노력하는 대원 여러분들께 감사드린다.”며 “피서객들이 방역수칙을 준수하며 안전한 휴가를 보낼 수 있도록 잘 부탁한다.”고 말했다.
