[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10일 오후 1시 37분경 경기 가평군 상면 덕현리 조종천에서 물놀이를 하던 A(63)씨가 급류에 휩쓸렸다는 신고가 접수됐다.

신고를 받고 출동한 가평소방서는 5km 가량 떨어진 청평검문소 인근 하류에서 심정지 상태의 A씨를 발견해 진접 현대병원으로 옮겼으나 끝내 숨졌다.

가평경찰서에 따르면 당시 A씨는 일행과 물놀이를 하다가 급류에 휩쓸려 떠내려간 것으로 알려졌다. 

가평경찰서 관계자는 “현재 목격자 등을 상대로 정확한 사고 경위를 조사 중이다”라고 말했다.
