[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 20일, 국제로타리 3600지구 가평로타리클럽은 가평읍·북면지역 드림스타트 사례관리아동 및 저소득 아동 중 내년에 중학교에 입학하는 아동들이 새로운 환경에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 도움을 주고 싶다며 225만원 상당의 프로스펙스 상품권을 가평군 드림스타트에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

가평군드림스타트와 가평로타리클럽은 지난 7월 5일 취약계층 아동지원 프로그램 운영, 후원 연계사업 등 아동의 건강한 성장발달을 위한 업무협약을 체결하였으며, 지역사회 내 저소득계층 아동들을 위해 반찬 지원봉사 등 다양한 봉사활동을 통해 지역 내 소외계층을 위한 사회공헌 활동을 활발히 실천해오고 있다고 했다.

윤동수 회장은 "여러 환경 속에서도 희망을 잃지 않으며 밝게 지내는 드림스타트 아동들이 우리 가평의 미래를 책임질 인물들로 잘 성잘할 수 있도록 조금이나마 보탬이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.
