[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강수현 양주시장은 지난 20일 경기섬유종합지원센터 컨벤션홀에서 열린 제9회 경기섬유의 날 행사에 참석해 경기 섬유산업 발전에 공로가 현저한 기업인을 격려하고 지역섬유업계의 성장동력 확보를 위한 지원 의지를 밝혔다.

강수현 시장은 축사를 통해 “경기 북부지역에서 생산된 섬유원단은 국내·외 시장에서 우수성을 인정받을 만큼 품질이 뛰어난 것으로 잘 알려져있다”며 “경기도, 포천시, 동두천시와 컨소시엄 형태로 추진하는 고용안정 선제대응 패키지 지원사업을 통해 관내 섬유업계 신규 일자리 창출과 제조역량 강화를 지원하는 선도적 역할을 수행해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
