[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는 지난해 가을부터 극심한 가뭄이 지속됨에 따라(2021년 12월 ~ 22년 2월까지 누적강수량 평년대비 36.4%) 가뭄대책을 선제적으로 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.

배수로 정비 및 가뭄대책 장비(농업용 관정, PE관) 신속 지원으로 영농준비에 차질이 없도록 추진하고 있으며, 배수로 정비사업은 대상지를 사전조사하여 영농기 이전에 정비 완료할 계획이라고 했다.

강릉시가 보유하고 있는 양수기에 대한 사전 정비를 완료하여 읍면동에 전진 배치했으며, 시 관리 대형관정에 대한 일제점검 및 보수, 지하수 영향조사 등을 실시하여 가뭄에 대비하고 있다고 했다.

또한, 각종 회의를 통하여 이·통·반장 및 영농단체에게 논물가두기 캠페인을 전개하여 봄 가뭄에 적극 대응하고 있다고 전했다.

강릉시 관계자는“현재 저수율은 평년 대비 83.7%로 강우상황 없이 현재의 기상상황이 지속된다면 봄철 영농에 차질이 불가피할 것으로 예상됨에 따라 농가에서는 농수로 정비, 논물 가두기 등 사전 가뭄대비에 철저를 기해달라”고 당부했다.
