[안종욱 기자= 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 오는 6월 25일 구)청평역 부지에 청평고을 조성을 기념하며 청춘역 1979 메인광장에서 기념음악회를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

가평의 복선 전철이 들어서며 폐역이 된 청평역사와 주변 선로부지가 용도를 다해 새로운 쓰임을 모색해야 하던 때였고, 지난 2016년 경기도 넥스트창조오디선 공모에서 ‘7080 추억과 낭만 그리고 젊음이 있는 청평고을 조성’ 사업으로 넥스트상을 수상하며 사업을 시작하게 되었다고 했다. 

청춘역 1979라는 이름 역시 70년~80년대 젊음과 청춘의 상징이었던 청평역사가 지어진 1979년을 기념하며 명명하게 되었다.

옛 경춘선이 다니던 청평역사부지와 인근 부지는 청평역사 부지, 폐선로, 연계도로, 호명산 진입로 등 4개 구역 7개 단위사업으로 나누어 메인광장, 테마트레인, 7080테마공간, 특화가로, 인도교 설치 등으로 변신하였다. 

이번 공연은 청춘역1979 조성을 기념하며 오는 25일 청춘역 1979 메인광장에서 진행된다. 1부 행사는 청춘역 1979 조성 기념식 겸 지역가수 공연으로, 2부 행사는 인기가수 박군, 별사랑, 윤태화, 바다새가 출연예정으로 인기가요는 물론 행사가 진행되는 날의 역사성을 잊지않고 6.25 관련 추모곡을 부를 예정이다. 

공연은 가평군민 누구나 별도의 신청 없이 관람가능하다.

가평군은 “이번 청춘역 1979의 조성을 계기로 1970년~80년대 대학가요제와 M.T 등으로 젊음의 상징이었던 청평이 재현되기를 기대해 본다”며 “또한 이번 음악회를 통해서 코로나19에 지친 군민들의 심신을 달래고 6.25를 맞이하여 호국선열의 숭고한 희생정신을 생각하는 계기가 되었으면 좋겠다”고 전했다.
