[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 30일 백영현 포천시장은 창수교육문화센터에서 경기도장애인체력인증센터 포천센터 개소식을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 백영현 시장과 연제창 포천시의회 부의장, 최춘식 포천·가평 국회의원 및 김인만 포천시체육회장을 비롯해 창수면 기관단체장 등 60명이 참석했다.

전액 도비로 운영되는 경기도장애인체력인증센터 사업은 과학적 체력관리프로그램 제공을 통해 관내 장애인들의 건강을 증진하고, 개인별 체력 진단 및 맞춤형 운동처방으로 생활체육 참여동기를 부여하는 서비스를 제공한다.

시는 올해 4월 해당 공모사업에 지원해 경기도 내에서 고양, 광주에 이어 3번째로 선정되었으며, 운동처방을 담당하는 운동처방사 1명과 체력측정을 담당하는 체력측정사 2명을 신규 채용해 각종 프로그램 운영을 통해 장애인이 건강한 삶을 유지하고, 나아가 생활체육에도 참여할 수 있도록 적극 지원한다.

백영현 포천시장은 “경기도장애인체력인증센터가 개소해 관내 장애인들이 언제나 무료로 이용할 수 있도록 체력측정 서비스 제공해 건강을 증진에 도움을 주게 되어 기쁘다.”고 말했다.

한편, 포천시장애인체력인증센터는 포천시는 물론 경기 북부권역의 장애인을 대상으로 센터를 방문하는 내방객과 출장 측정 등 찾아가는 서비스를 통해 상담, 측정, 처방, 체력증진교실 프로그램 운영, 재측정, 재평가 등의 업무를 무료로 추진하게 된다.
