가평 새마을부녀회장은 “동절기 추워지는 날씨로 생활의 어려움을 느끼고 있는 이웃들에게 희망을 드리고자 성금을 기탁하게 되었고, 이웃들에게 따뜻한 나눔과 위로가 되길 바란다”며 기탁 소감을 남겼다.

장동선 가평읍장은 “힘든 상황에서도 어렵고 소외된 이웃들을 잊지 않고 도움의 손길을 내어 준 새마을부녀회 회원들에게 감사하다. 지역사회에 좋은 영향력을 끼치는 많은 분들이 있어 가평읍이 더욱 발전할 것을 기대한다.”라고 감사의 인사를 전했다.  

이번 기탁된 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통하여 가평읍 관내 취약계층을 위해 쓰일 예정이라고 말했다.
