[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9월 1일부터 22일까지 의정부시 흥선동 행정복지센터는 추석을 맞아 안전사고를 유발하고 도시미관을 저해하는 불법현수막을 특별정비한다고 밝혔다.

특별정비 대상은 지정된 게시대를 제외한 도로변 펜스, 가로수‧가로등이나 그밖에 불법현수막 게시 금지시설에 설치한 현수막이며, 특히, 교통 통행량이 많은 교차로, 지하철역 인근, 주요 대로변은 매일 2회 순찰을 실시하여 불법 현수막에 대해 신속히 대처할 예정이다라고 했다.

이번 불법현수막 특별정비는 공공기관‧정당‧분양홍보업체 등 주체를 불문하고 지정된 게시대를 이용하지 않은 모든 현수막에 대해 실시하며, 상습적으로 부착한 단체에 대해서는 과태료 부과 등 행정처분을 강화할 방침이라고 했다.

이상우 허가안전과장은 “시민에게 불편을 주는 불법현수막을 지속적으로 신속하게 정비하여 깨끗한 흥선권역 도시미관을 조성하겠다.” 고 말했다.
