[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 재활용품 배출에 대한 인식을 개선하기 위해 공무원들을 대상으로 재활용품 선별 현장체험을 3일부터 13일까지 10일간 진행하고 있다.

공무원들은 남면 광덕리에 위치한 재활용품 선별장을 찾아 생활쓰레기 배출의 올바른 이해와 배출요령, 미 분리된 재활용품의 실태파악 및 재활용품 분리작업 등을 실시하고 있다.

군에서는 재활용품 선별 체험 실시를 통해 페트병 띠분리 배출 및 일회용품 세척배출 등 재활용품 배출 방법에 대한 인식을 공무원부터 솔선수범 개선해 나가는 것은 물론 가정에서부터 철저한 재활용 분리수거로 쓰레기 감소와 함께 청정 정선을 지키기 위한 적극 홍보를 실시해 나갈 계획이다.

정선군 재활용 선별시설은 2017년 준공되어 2018년부터 가동을 시작하였으며 2020년 한차례 증축하여 1일 8톤의 처리능력으로 2022년 기준 연간 1,088톤의 재활용품 자원화 하고 있다.
