[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 7일 강릉시는 강릉아레나경기장 주차장에서 아동의 안전한 통학 환경 조성을 위해 어린이통학버스 관계기관 합동점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 강릉경찰서, 한국교통안전공단과 강릉시가 합동으로 영유아의 안전한 보육환경 조성을 위해 실시하며 대상은 관내 어린이집 18개소(28대)와 지역아동센터 4개소(4대)라고 했다.

주요 점검내용은 9인승 이상 자동차로 자동차 안전기준 구조 준수 여부, 보험 가입여부, 도로교통안전공단 통학버스안전교육 이수, 운영자·운전자·동승자 안전교육 이수 여부 등에 대해 집중 점검할 예정이라고 했다.

점검결과에 따라 규정 미숙지 등으로 인한 위반사항은 현장에서 즉시 시정조치 또는 자발적으로 시정을 유도하고, 위법행위에 대해서는 행정처분 등 조치를 할 계획이라고 했다.

강릉시 관계자는 “어린이통학버스에 대한 지속적인 안전점검을 통해 모든 아이가 안전한 환경에서 통원할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
