[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 대한민국 안전대전환을 위한 2022년 국가안전대진단 실시와 함께 시민 참여를 확대하고 안전관리 사각지대를 해소하기 위해 지역 내 노후시설을 시민들과 함께 점검하는 ‘주민점검 신청제’를 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 주민점검 신청제는 시민이 직접 신청한 시설물 중 선정된 시설에 대하여 국가안전대진단 기간(8. 17.~ 10. 14.)에 안전점검을 시행해 위험 해소 방안을 제공해 주는 제도이다. 

신청 대상은 마을회관, 경로당, 복지회관, 노후 건축물 및 소교량, 산사태 취약지역 등 소규모 생활밀접시설로 한정되며, 관리자(관리주체)가 있는 시설, 공사 중인 시설, 소송 및 분쟁 중인 시설, 개별법 점검대상 시설은 제외된다. 

속초시는 위험성, 설치 연도 등을 고려하여 점검대상을 선정해 그 결과를 신청자에게 개별 통보하며, 건축·전기·소방·가스 등 시설물 전반에 대해 국가안전대진단 기간 중 안전점검을 실시해 보수 보강 등 조치 방안을 관리주체에게 통보하게 된다.

신청은 오는 8월 16일까지 해당 동주민센터에 방문하거나, 안전신문고 앱을 통해 신청할 수 있다. 

속초시 관계자는“이번 주민점검 신청제를 통해 국가안전대진단에 많은 관심과 참여의 계기가 되길 바라며, 주변 위험요인을 사전에 해소하는 등 시민들이 안전한 환경에서 생활하는데 도움이 되길 바란다.”라고 말했다.
