[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 4월 27일부터 5월 13일(3주간) 강원도는 전국적으로 동물병원에서의 위반사례가 지속적으로 발생함에 따라 동일·유사 사례 발생 예방을 위해 도내 동물병원 77개소*(총 144개소)를 대상으로 동물병원 운영실태를 도(동물방역과, 동물위생시험소), 시·군과 함께 합동점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검의 실효성을 높이기 위해 금번에 전체 동물병원의 50%를 점검하고, 하반기에 미점검 동물병원을 점검할 계획이며, 점검사항으로는 ❶ 과잉진료행위 ❷ 수의사면허 대여 및 동물병원개설 비자격자 고용 진료행위 ❸ 처방전 발급 적정 여부 ❹ 진료부 비치․기록 여부 ❺ 진료수의사 신고 등 동물병원 적정관리 여부 ❻ 유효기간이 지난 약제 사용 ❼ 진단서·처방전 발급 거부 등을 점검할 계획이라고 했다. 

한편 점검결과 진료부 진료사항 미기재, 불필요한 검사·투약 등 과잉진료행위, 허위 또는 과대광고로 소비자를 현혹하는 등의 위반행위 적발시 수의사면허 효력 정지 등 강력한 행정조치를 취할 방침이라고 전했다.

강원도 서종억 동물방역과장은 “이번에 동물병원에 대한 일제점검을 통해 동물진료의 적정성을 확보하고, 소비자의 권익보호 및 수의사 신뢰 제고에 크게 기여하게 될 것이며, 앞으로도 동물병원에 대한 지도·점검을 강화해 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.
