[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 18일 의정부시는 국가안전대진단 점검 주간을 맞이하여 관내 부용천 자전거도로 현장 등 생활과 밀접한 시설에 대하여 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

2021년 국가안전대진단은 코로나19 방역상황을 고려하여 평상시 안전점검이 미흡한 시설물 대상을 위주로 내실있는 안전점검을 실시하고 있으며, 최근 광주 학동 철거현장 붕괴 사고와 같은 대형사고가 빈번히 발생하고 있어 공사장과 같은 위험 시설에 관해서도 자체적으로 안전점검을 실시하고 있다고 했다. 

지난 10월 15일부터 11월 5일까지 의정부시에서 추진하고 있는 국가안전대진단은 공사장과 건축물, 시설물 등에 대한 민·관 합동으로 11개 유형 76개 시설에 대하여 안전관리자문단과 함께 국가안전대진단을 실시하며, 특히 이번 국가안전대진단에서는 시민 생활과 밀접한 관련이 있는 자전거도로 등을 부시장이 직접 현장 점검하여 시민 생활 안전사고 예방 및 안전 환경을 조성할 예정이라고 전했다.

점검결과 현장에서 시정 가능한 사항은 즉시 시정하고 보수·보강·정밀진단 등 후속조치가 필요한 사항은 관련 예산을 적극 확보해 개선할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

황범순 의정부시 부시장은 “시민이 피부로 느끼게 되는 자전거도로와 보행로, 어린이 및 노인보호구역 등을 면밀히 살펴 생활안전에 만전을 기하라”고 당부했다.
