[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 31일까지 원주시가 원주사랑상품권 부정 유통 근절을 위해 가맹점을 대상으로 일제 단속에 나선다고 밝혔다.

원주시는 지류 상품권 환전 및 가맹점 결제현황 자료 등을 점검하고 부정거래가 의심되면 해당 가맹점을 방문해 조사할 계획이라고 전했다.

중점 점검 대상은 상품권 가맹점이 등록 제한 업종(사행산업, 유흥업소 등)을 영위하는 행위, 물품의 판매 또는 용역의 제공 없이 상품권을 수취하는 행위(일명 ‘깡’), 상품권 결제 거부 또는 상품권 소지자를 불리하게 대우하는 행위, 가맹점주가 타인 명의로 상품권을 지속 구매 후 환전하는 행위 등이라고 했다.

단속 결과 부정 유통이 확인되면 행정지도와 가맹점 등록 취소, 과태료 처분을 하고, 사안이 심각한 경우 수사기관에 고발할 예정이라고 전했다.

이병철 경제진흥과장은 “지역사랑상품권 유통 질서 확립을 위한 일제 단속에 가맹점주를 비롯한 시민 여러분의 적극적인 협조를 바란다.”라고 말했다.
