이번 행사는 한성희치과, 이마트 의정부점, 의정부시 간호사회, 추병원 등 관내 기업 및 단체의 사회환원사업이 더해져 풍성한 행사로 진행됐으며, 의정부시 지역사회보장협의체가 주관하고 의정부시, 경기북부공동모금회의 후원을 통해 총 2만4천620kg의 김장김치를 마련했고, 김장김치는 10kg씩 개별 포장돼 의정부시 취약계층 1천691세대, 관내 사회복지시설 45개소에 전달됐다고 했다.

장인봉 의정부시 지역사회보장협의체 민간공동위원장은 “올해도 지난해와 같이 단계별 일상회복 수칙 준수를 위해 민‧관이 협력하는 김장 나눔 행사 대신 김치 완제품을 구매해 겨울철 도움의 손길이 필요한 독거노인과 사회복지시설에 지원하게 되었다”고 말했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “지역의 어려운 주민들을 위해 나눔 행사에 동참해 주신 모든 분들에게 감사드리며 관내 기업, 사회복지기관 및 시설, 자생단체의 후원으로 마련한 김장김치가 올겨울 추위로 힘들어 할 지역의 소외계층 여러분들에게 힘이 되었으면 좋겠다”고 밝혔다.
