이날 행사는 흥선동 마을복지계획 추진단과 흥선동 행정복지센터 복지지원과 보건복지팀의 협업을 통해 가족의 돌봄을 받지 못하는 홀몸어르신을 대상으로 생신을 축하하며 케이크와 격려물품을 전달하고, 더불어 간호직 공무원이 건강체크를 통해 어르신의 건강한 삶 유지를 위해 진행했다고 전했다.

김00 홀몸어르신은 “생일을 맞이하여 아무런 기대도 안했는데 이렇게 찾아와서 축하해주고 건강도 체크해 주니 정말 기쁘다”고 말했다.

김현숙 단장은 “어르신 생신축하사업은 흥선동 마을복지계획의 대표적인 특화사업”이라며 “지역의 어르신들이 외로움을 느끼지 않도록 최선을  다하겠다”고 말했다.

유준영 흥선동 복지지원과장은 “지역의 소외계층 및 복지사각지대가 발생하지 않도록 행정에도 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
