[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 19일 의정부시 흥선동행정복지센터는 김명숙 흥선동통장협의회 15통장이 2021년 위기아동 발굴에 기여한 공로로 경기도지사 표창장을 받았다고 밝혔다.

경기도는 지난해 위기아동 발굴을 위한 조사를 통해 어려운 상황에 처한 73명의 위기아동을 발굴, 복지서비스와 연계하고 복지 상담을 실시하는 등 성과와 전국 최초로 위기아동 발굴을 위한 주민등록 사실조사 정책이 행정안전부장관 표창을 수상했다고 했다.

김명숙 흥선동 15통장은 “주민등록 사실조사를 통해 아동의 위기 상황 조기발견 및 보호 시스템 구축에 일조한 것에 대해 기쁘고, 앞으로도 우리 주변의 위기아동 발굴에 관심과 노력을 기울이겠다”고 말했다.

유준영 흥선동 복지지원과장은 “민관 협력을 통해 지역 내 복지사각지대 해소와 촘촘한 복지안전망 구축에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.

한편 흥선동 행정복지센터는 지난해 74가구를 대상으로 위기아동 발굴 조사를 실시했으며, 올해도 ‘민관 협력 아동의 안부를 묻다’ 사업 등 아동‧청소년 복지사각지대 발굴‧지원 사업을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.
