[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 11일 의정부시 흥선동행정복지센터는 의정부서부새마을금고 본점‧흥선지점에서 설명절을 맞이해 사랑의 좀도리쌀 77포와 라면 50상자를 후원했다고 밝혔다.

사랑의 좀도리 운동은 어려웠던 옛날 어머니들이 밥을 지을 때 쌀을 미리 한 숟가락 덜어내 부뚜막 단지에 모았다가 남을 도왔던 좀도리의 전통적인 십시일반의 정신을 되살려 어려운 이웃을 돕기 위해 새마을금고가 1998년부터 실시하고 있는 사랑나눔 실천 운동이라고 했다.

이날 기탁받은 좀도리쌀 77포와 라면 50상자는 코로나19로 어려워진 저소득 취약계층, 홀몸어르신 등 주위의 힘든 이웃을 적극 발굴해 골고루 전달될 계획이라고 했다.

윤만행 의정부서부새마을금고 이사장은 “코로나19와 한파로 인해 모두가 힘든 시기에 설 명절을 맞이해 사랑의 좀도리 운동으로 지역 내 어려운 이웃들이 따뜻한 설명절을 보내는데 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

유준영 흥선동 복지지원과장은 “코로나19로 어려운 경제여건 속에서도 더욱 소외되고 있는 취약계층을 위해 사랑의 좀도리 운동에 참여해 주신 모든 분들께 감사드린다”고 밝혔다.
