이는 지난 1월 28일 개정·시행된 환경친화적 자동차의 개발 및 보급 촉진에 관한 법률 시행령에 따른 것이며, 단 시행 초기임을 감안해 공공시설 ‘시청, 주민센터 등’ 집중단속과 민간시설 ‘공동주택, 대형마트 등’에 대한 홍보활동을 오는 6월 30일까지 병행 추진한다고 했다.

집중단속 기간 동안 공공시설 내 적발 시 최초 1회 계도하고, 동일인이 2회 이상 지속적으로 위반할 경우 과태료를 부과할 예정이며, 민간시설 내 적발 시 계도 위주의 단속 및 홍보활동을 통해 위반행위가 반복되는 일이 없도록 할 방침이라고 전했다.
