[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양양군이 본격적인 여름 행락철을 맞아 지역 내 대표적인 하천인 남대천 일부 구간에 대해 야영·취사행위 금지구역으로 지정키로 했다고 밝혔다.

군은 남대천의 환경보전과 하천오염방지 및 수질을 보호와 집중호우 시 급격하게 증가하는 유량으로 인해 하천 야영객들에게 닥칠 수 있는 안전사고로부터 보호하기 위해 일부 구간에 대해 야영과 취사행위 금지구역으로 지정하기로 했으며 금지구역은 양양읍 서문리 후천 합류점에서부터 양양읍 조산리 해안선까지 5.2㎞ 구간이고, 이 구간에서는 야영 및 취사행위가 전면 금지된다.

양양군은 군청 홈페이지를 통해 오는 28일까지 야영·취사행위 금지구역 지정에 따른 행정예고를 하고, 이에 따른 주민의견을 접수하며 의견 제출은 행정예고 사항에 대한 의견서를 작성해 양양군청 남대천 보전과 생태보전팀을 방문하거나 또는 우편, 팩스 등을 통해 오는 28일까지 제출하면 된다.

군은 행정예고 기간을 거친 후, 오는 8월 중 하천구역 내 야영·취사행위 금지구역 지정 공고를 하고, 이후 안내판 설치 등 지도·단속을 강화해 나갈 계획이며 금지행위 위반자에 대해서는 하천법 제98조 제2항에 따라 300만 원 이하의 과태료를 부과할 방침이고 별도의 행정예고 이전까지 연중 계속된다.
