[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 4월 1월부터 내년 10월 31일까지 춘천시정부에 따르면 택시부제가 한시적으로 전면 해제된다고 밝혔다.

그동안 춘천에서는 개인 및 일반택시가 3부제로 운영돼 왔으며, 택시부제 전면 해제 논의는 국토교통부 훈령 개정에 따라 시작됐다고 전했다.

2020년 11월 개정된 국토교퉁부 훈령을 보면 “전기자동차 또는 수소전기차동차를 이용한 택시에 대해서는 부제를 둘 수 없다” 라고 명시돼 있다고 전했다.

해당 훈령에 대해 개인택시지부에서는 2021년 6월 전기차 등 환경친화적 택시의 부제 해제에 따른 불합리한 차별을 제기했으며, 부제 전면 해제를 통해 상대적 박탈감을 해소해야 한다고 건의한 것이라고 했다.

이에 시정부는 개인택시지부, 법인택시협의회, 법인택시 노조 등 당사자간의 합의가 선결될 것을 요청했으며, 이후 지난해 6월부터 협의를 시작, 당사자간 합의가 올해 2월 이뤄졌다고 했다

앞으로도 시정부는 법인택시 회사별 차량정비 및 운전자 과로방지 대책을 점검하고 택시부제 해제에 따른 유가보조금 관련 홍보를 적극적으로 시행할 방침이라고 했다.

시정부 관계자는 “전기택시 운송사업자들이 택시부제 해제를 반대하고 있으나, 개인 및 일반택시업계 당사자들 대부분이 전면해제를 요청하고 합의함에 따라 택시부제 해제를 결정했다”라고 말했다.

아울러, 택시 부제가 한시적으로 전면해제됨에 따라 안전운행 및 서비스향상을 위한 택시업계 자정노력과 심야시간, 악천후 등 택시이용 불편이 해소되기를 기대한다고 밝혔다.
