[김준호 기자=동해시]  동해시(시장 심규언)가 을 앞두고 침체된 전통시장 활성화를 위해오는 18일~19일 양일간 2023년 설맞이 전통시장 가는 날을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

시 직원을 비롯해 유관기관 및 단체·기업체 등이 전통시장 가는 날 방문 주간을 지정해 부서별·단체별로 동쪽바다중앙시장, 북평민속시장 등 전통시장 장보기를 진행한다. 

또, 지역경제와 전통시장의 경기 활성화를 위하여 지역화폐인 동해페이, 강원상품권, 온누리상품권 활용을 적극 홍보·권장할 예정이다.

한편, 오는 20일까지 설을 앞두고 농산물 가격 안정과 농·축산물 원산지 표시 이행 여부 점검 및 부정 유통행위를 근절하기 위해 특별 지도·단속에도 나선다.

이번 단속은, 강원도 민생사법팀과 합동으로 원산지 표시에 관한 법률 및 축산위생관리법 등에 의한 원산지표시의 유무, 표시방법의 적정성, 농축산물 원산지 거짓표시 또는 미표시를 비롯하여 육류관리 및 유통기한, 위생사항, 인허가 사항들 또한 집중 점검하여 소비자 권익보호와 유통질서를 확립한다는 방침이다.

특히 원산지 거짓, 혼동표시, 위장 혼합판매가 적발될 경우 7년이하의 징역 또는 1억원 이하의 벌금에 처하며, 기타 위반사항이 적발 될 시에는 1천만원 이하의 과태료가 부과된다.
