[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 30일 포천시는 유림회관에서 제13기 포천명륜대학 수료식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 수료식에는 포천명륜대학 정준식 학장을 비롯해 심창보 포천시 부시장, 이원웅 경기도의회 의원, 임종훈 포천시의회 운영위원장, 양윤택 포천문화원장, 수료생등 70여 명이 참석했고, 2008년부터 시작된 포천명륜대학은 포천학, 유학이론, 예절학, 경전 및 문화, 석전체험 등을 통해 미풍양속의 전통문화를 계승하고 발전시켜왔다고 했다.

심창보 포천시 부시장은 축사에서 “전통문화와 역사적 가치관 함양하기 위해 명륜대학에 입교하신 여러분들이 포천시 발전의 원동력이다.”라며 “전통문화의 가치와 선현들의 지혜로운 가르침을 잘 간직하고 다음 세대에도 올바른 계승을 부탁드린다.”라고 말했다.

정준식 학장은 “인성이 다시 중요한 가치로 여겨지는 현대사회에서 명륜대학의 배움을 통해 사회 구성원으로 역할을 충실히 해 나가기를 바란다.”라며 “앞으로도 전통 윤리교육으로 사람을 중시하는 유도정신을 회복하고 정의로운 사회가 구현되도록 더욱더 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다.
