[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 13일 포천시 도시재생 지원센터는 영중면사무소에서 ‘2021년 도시재생대학 통합 수료식 및 성과공유회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

지난 9월부터 개강한 포천시 도시재생대학은 공동체·상권 활성화, 청년창업 등 다양한 주제와 지역 상황에 맞는 주민역량강화 프로그램을 진행했고, 영중면은 4개팀이 도시재생대학을 통해 공동체를 발굴하고 전시 및 의제사업화를 진행했으며, 영중중학교 학생들은 마을이야기 기록단을 운영하며 소식지를 발간했다고 했다.

이동면에서는 쌈지공원 조성하고 특산물인 막걸리를 활용한 다양한 칵테일을 개발하는 등 마을을 재생할 수 있는 경험을 맛보며 동시에 지역 상권을 활성화할 방법을 모색했고, 도시재생 산업박람회에서 부스를 운영하며 전국 도시재생 관계자들로부터 뜨거운 호응을 받기도 했다고 전했다.

영북면은 3개 분과로 나뉘어 영북면 상권활성화를 위한 방안 제시 및 사례 탐구를 실시했으며, 또 각종 아이디어 사업을 체계적으로 진행하며 주민협의체 신규회원도 점차 증가하고 있는 추세라고 했다.

통합 수료식에 이어 진행된 성과공유회에서는 도시재생대학 결과물을 주민 공동체끼리 서로 공유하는 시간을 가졌으며, 특히 업사이클링 허브화분, 이동막걸리칵테일, 38선 로드마켓 작품전시 등이 많은 주목을 받았다고 전했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “도시재생사업은 무엇보다 주민들을 중심으로 뜨거운 열정과 화합, 그리고 소통과 양보가 있어야 성공할 수 있다.”라며 “도시재생사업이 사람 사는 지역, 문화와 공동체가 함께하는 동네를 만드는 데 큰 역할을 해 줄 것으로 기대하며, 앞으로 포천시도 도시재생사업을 잘 추진할 수 있도록 만전을 기하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
