[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 22일 원주시와 학성동 도시재생현장지원센터가 지역 주민의 자생적 성장 기반 마련을 위해 운영한 ‘마을카페 예비 운영자 교육’ 수료식이 학성동 틔움카페에서 열렸다고 전했다.

이번 교육은 지난 9월 13일부터 11월 22일까지 이론 8회, 실기 10회 과정으로 진행됐으며, 마을카페 및 마을관리 협동조합에 관한 이론수업과 바리스타 2급 자격증 실기 과정을 병행한 주민 맞춤형 교육을 통해 총 8명의 수료생을 배출한 가운데, 수료생 전원이 바리스타 2급 자격증을 취득하는 성과를 거뒀다고 했다. 

이론 교육은 협동조합 운영 사례소개, 마을카페 사업계획서 작성, 협동조합 설립의 이해 등 실제 사업에 접목 가능한 내용으로 구성했으며, 실제 지역 주민이 게스트하우스와 카페를 운영하고 있는 기차마을협동조합을 직접 견학하기도 했다.

학성동 도시재생현장지원센터 정태영 센터장은 “도시재생사업과 커뮤니티센터에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 주민역량 강화의 발판이 됐길 바란다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 2019년부터 도시재생뉴딜사업을 진행하고 있는 학성동은 여성커뮤니티센터, 광명마을 경로당 등 주요 거점시설 개관을 앞두고 있으며, 내년 말까지 도시계획도로, 문화공원, 주민커뮤니티센터와 문화예술공간 등 각종 사회기반시설을 조성할 계획이라고 전했다.
