[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 2일 의정부시 마을·사회적경제 지원센터는 의정부시 하반기 사회적경제 창업아카데미 기초과정의 수료식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 하반기 아카데미에는 39세 이하 청년의 비중이 총 접수자대비  50%로 가장 높았고, 남성보다는 여성의 참여가 두드러져 취업에 어려움을 겪는 청년과 여성이 사회적경제 창업에 관심을 갖는 것으로 파악됐다고 했다.

6차시 수업으로 이루어진 이번 교육은 각 분야별 전문가 및 우리시에서 활동하는 사회적기업가를 매칭해 사회적경제에 대한 전문지식은 물론 지역사회 문제를 해결하는 실제 사례를 통해 사회적경제 창업의 길잡이 역할을 하는 교육으로 구성해 수강생들의 호응을 얻었으며, 특히 마지막 시간에 이뤄진 선배기업 ‘육성선정기업, 예비사회적기업, 인증사회적기업’의 다양한 사례발표를 통해 단계별 사회적경제로 진입하는 방법과 기업의 생생한 경험과 제품들을 나누면서 네트워킹의 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

이번 교육의 한 수강생은 “지인에게 추천받아 듣기 시작했는데 사회적경제에 대한 관심을 갖게 됐고, 창업을 하지 않더라도 사회적기업 제품 구입으로 윤리적 소비를 해야겠다고 다짐하게 됐다”고 말했다.

권영일 일자리정책과장은 “하반기 사회적경제 창업아카데미 교육을 통해 상반기에 치우친 교육으로 하반기 교육을 원하던 시민의 욕구가 충족되고, 앞으로 사회적경제 기업가로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 전했다.

앞으로 의정부시에서는 이번 교육에 이어 2022년 사회적경제 창업아카데미 심화과정을 통해 수료생이 자신만의 사업계획서를 작성할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
