[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 19일 가평군 북면은 세계평화여성연합에서 겨울철 관내 취약계층 어르신들에게 조금이라도 도움이 되고자 컵라면 100상자를 기부했다고 밝혔다.   

세계평화여성연합은 1992년 한국에서 창립하여 전 세계 120여 국가에 지부를 두고 활동을 하고 있으며, 국내·외 다양한 나눔·봉사활동 등을 진행 중이라고 했다.

이순영 가평군 지부장은 “장기화된 코로나19에 이번 겨울은 더욱 춥게 느껴질 겨울을 따뜻하게 보냈으면 하는 마음에 라면을 기탁하게 되었다며, 앞으로도 지역사회를 위한 나눔활동에 적극적으로 참여하겠다.”라고 전했다.  

남경호 북면장은 “2022년 새해부터 나눔활동에 몸소 귀감을 보이시는 세계평화여성연합에 감사드리며, 후원해주신 성품은 기탁 취지에 맞게 북면 내 취약계층 어르신들에게 잘 전달하도록 하겠다.”고 전했다.
