[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 16일 포천시 선단동통장협의회는 선단동행정복지센터에서 우수 학생 16명에게 각 20만원씩 320만원의 장학금을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

선단동통장협의회에서는 매년 각 마을에서 선발한 우수 학생들에게 장학금을 전달하고 있으며, 장학금은 코로나19로 각 통장들을 통해 전달됐다고 했다.

채수정 회장은 “코로나19로 학업에 어려움이 많겠지만 지금처럼 꾸준히 학업에 정진하길 바란다.”라며 “앞으로도 지역의 우수한 인재 양성을 위해 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”라고 말했다. 

배상철 선단동장은 “코로나19로 어려운 시기이지만 이럴 때일수록 우리가 할 수 있는 일을 굳건히 할 수 있는 자세가 필요하다.”라며 “학생들을 위해 매년 관심을 보여준 통장협의회에 감사드린다.”라고 전했다.
