[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 30일 동두천시 불현동 주민자치위원회는 새해를 앞두고 불현동 관내 한부모가정 자녀들을 대상으로 100만원 상당의 이웃돕기 성품을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 불현동 주민자치위원들의 자발적 후원을 통해 한부모가정 중·고등학생 5명에 따뜻한 겨울나기를 위한 외투가 전달됐다고 했다.

김지일 불현동장은 “겨울철 코로나19와 경기 침체로 더욱 어려운 상황에 있는 한부모가정 이웃들에게 따뜻한 마음을 전달해주신 불현동 주민자치위원 여러분께 감사드린다”고 말했다.

이상재 주민자치 위원장은 “주변 복지사각지대에 있는 이웃들을 찾아 후원할 수 있는 기회로 인해 마음이 풍족해진다”며 “작은 나눔의 실천들이 모여 더욱 따뜻한 불현동이 되길 바란다”고 하였다.
