[김택곤 기자=영월군] 영월군이 2022년 지방자치단체 혁신평가에서 우수기관으로 선정되어 기관표창과 특별교부세 등 다양한 특전을 받게 된다.

지방자치단체 혁신평가는 매년 행정안전부가 광역 포함 243개 지방자치단체를 대상으로 기관 자율혁신, 혁신성과, 혁신확산 및 국민체감도를 평가하여 각 평가군별(광역, 시, 군, 구) 상위 25%인 61개 기관을 우수기관으로 선정한다.

영월군은 인구감소와 지역경제 침체로 지역소멸 문제를 해소하기위한 문화도시 조성사업, 협업체계 구축을 통한 동.서강 수월래 프로젝트 추진, 교육 경쟁력 강화와 공동체 교육문화 조성을 위한 작은학교 희망만들기 사업 등의 우수사례와, 군민이 실질적으로 체감할 수 있는 자율추진 혁신과제, 현장서비스 확대 기반 구축, 혁신사례에 대한 국민체감도 등 주민의 삶의 질 향상 분야에서 좋은 평가를 받았다.

최명서 영월군수는 “직원들의 군민을 위한 혁신 의지와 노력으로 21년 보통에서 22년 우수등급으로 상향을 이루어냈다며 앞으로도 군정의 혁신으로 변화와 도약을 통한 살기 좋은 영월을 실현하기 위하여 부서, 기관, 민‧관 협업 추진 체계 구축 및 군민참여 확대와 주민 체감형 혁신성과 창출에 박차를 가할 계획이다.”라고 말했다.
