[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 30일부터 동두천시 불현동 주민자치위원회는 2021년 한 해 동안 진행한 특색사업 ‘할망! 우리 같이 한지 만들어요!’의 마무리를 위해 불현동 행정복지센터 1층 민원실에서 관련 전시를 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이번 전시는 불현동 행정복지센터 민원실을 방문하는 지역 주민들이 전통한지 제작과정이 담긴 안내판을 통해 종이골 마을의 한지제작 전통에 대해 알아보고 다양한 한지의 종류를 직접 볼 수 있도록 꾸며졌다고 했다.

불현동 주민자치위원회는 그간 종이골마을의 특산품인 전통한지 제작법을 계승하고 보존하고자 체험장을 조성하여 전통한지 제작 체험활동을 진행한 바 있다고 전했다.

이상재 주민자치위원장은 “이번 전시를 통해 지역 주민들이 종이골 마을의 전통에 대해 더욱 널리 알게 되는 기회가 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 지역의 전통을 계승하는 사업을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
