[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시 생연1동행정복지센터는 지난 8일, 연동 경로당 등 관내 경로당을 방문하여 어르신들이 안심하고 이용할 수 있도록 방역·소독을 시행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검 및 소독은 최근 코로나19가 재유행함에 따라 상대적으로 감염에 취약한 어르신들이 많이 밀집하는 경로당의 방역을 강화하여 걱정없이 경로당을 이용할 수 있도록 하고자 진행되었다.

생연1동 연동 경로당 회장은 “최근 코로나가 재유행하는데 경로당 자체적으로는 방역·소독하기가 힘들어서 고민이 많았다. 동에서 방역소독을 해준 덕분에 안심하고 경로당에 다닐 수 있게 되었다”라며 감사의 뜻을 표했다.

남상만 생연1동장은 “앞으로도 경로당 방역 강화에 노력하여 감염병에 취약한 어르신들이 걱정 없이 경로당을 이용할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
