[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1일, 동두천시 생연2동 주민자치위원회와 지역자율방재단은 생연2동 관내 경로당을 대상으로 합동 방역 소독 봉사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 방역 봉사는 지난 8월 무더위쉼터 방역에 이어 주민자치와 지역자율방재단이 합동으로 신천, 모랫말 등 관내 8개 경로당을 대상으로 진행하였으며, 어르신들이 자주 이용하는 손잡이와 테이블, 의자 등을 집중 소독하였다고 했다. 

김일 생연2동장은 이날 봉사에 참여한 두 단체를 격려하며  “명절 이후 최근 코로나19 확진자가 급증하는 등 위기상황에서 경로당에 대한 지속적인 방역과 관리를 통해 어르신들의 이용에 불편함이 없도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
