[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 17일부터 동두천시가 주민 생활밀착형 공공서비스 제공을 위한 생연동 행복마을관리소 활동을 본격 시작했다고 밝혔다.

행복마을관리소는 작년에 이어 올해도 제일상가 고객쉼터 ‘도란도란’ 공간을 활용해 사무실을 마련했고, 행복마을 지킴이와 사무원이 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 근무하게 된다고 했다. 

단독주택과 다가구 주택 등이 밀집된 동두천의 원도심 지역인 생연2동 10,11,12통, 중앙동 10,11,14,15통 주민을 대상으로 아파트 관리사무소 개념의 마을관리소 역할을 수행하게 되며, 주요 업무는 주민들의 안전을 위한 마을 내 순찰활동, 아동안심 등·하교 서비스, 홀몸어르신 돌봄 서비스, 취약계층 간단 집수리, 방역활동, 공구 대여 등 주민들의 생활편의를 지원한다고 했다.

행복마을관리소 관계자는 “생연동 행복마을관리소가 지역 주민들에게 꼭 필요한 생활밀착형 공공서비스를 제공하고, 지역의 다양한 문제들을 찾아 주민과 함께 해결하는 소통의 공간이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
