서한문을 통해 2021년 한 해 동안 주위에 어려운 이웃을 위해 식료품, 식사제공, 세탁, 미용, 방역서비스 등 다양한 방법으로 후원을 해주신 생연2동 민간 후원자와 사업체에 감사의 마음을 전했다고 했다.

후원자는 코로나19 장기화로 경기가 좋지 않은 가운데에서도 자신보다 더 어려운 이웃들을 돕고자 하는 따듯한 마음으로 명절이나 연말, 착한배송 및 새마을 반찬 만들기 등의 이웃돕기 행사가 있을 때마다 지속적으로 후원했다고 했다.

김일 생연2동장은 “코로나19의 확산으로 전 국민이 경제적 고통에 있음에도, 생연2동 지역사회 취약계층의 복지를 위해 꾸준하게 후원을 해주셔서 너무도 감사하다”고 밝혔다.
