이종찬 이장은 “계속되는 코로나19와 폭염으로 지친 어르신들에게 따뜻한 한끼를 나누고자 삼계탕을 준비했다.”며 “어르신들이 맛있게 드시고 건강한 여름을 보내시길 바란다.”고 말했다. 

이날 기부된 삼계탕은 내촌면 명예사회복지공무원이 참여하여 홀몸노인 등 도움이 필요한 이웃을 찾아 삼계탕을 전달하며 안부를 확인하는 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

강성모 내촌면장은 “이장님이 익명 기부의 뜻을 밝혔으나 이웃사랑의 미담을 공유하고자 나눔을 알리게 되었다.”며 “어려운 이웃을 위해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천해주신 이종찬 이장님과 협조해주신 명예사회복지 공무원분들께 감사드린다.”고 전했다.
