[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군지역사회보장협의체는 읍·면 지역사회보장협의체활동을 활성화하고 관내 취약계층 학부모의 교육비 부담을 덜어드리고자 2022학년도 중·고등학교 입학생에게 보조교복 또는 체육복을 구매할 수 있는 '몸자람 마음자람 지원사업(보조교복지원)'을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

가평군에서는 매년 중·고등학교 입학생에게 30만원 상당의 교복구입비를 지원하고 있으나, 이는 동·하복 1벌 정도 살 수 있는 가격이라 여분의 교복을 구입하거나 체육복을 사는 개인부담비용이 생활이 어려운 차상위 가정에서는 경제적 부담으로 느껴지고 있다고 했다 

이에 가평군지역사회보장협의체에서는 이러한 복지수요를 반영하여 2020년 청소년 체육복(교복) 지원 사업을 처음 시작하여 2021년도 입학생 50명에게 쿠폰을 제공하였고, 사업 추진결과 대상자들의 만족도가 높아 올해는 읍면 지역사회보장협의체 위원들이 발굴한 관내 취약계층 중·고등학교 입학생 88명을 대상으로 13만원 상당의 보조교복(체육복) 교환 쿠폰을 지원하여 중·고등학교에 진학하는 신입생들이 즐거운 학교생활을 시작할 수 있도록 맞춤형 복지서비스를 제공할 예정이라고 했다.  

복수의 사업관계자는 “가평군의 아이들이 경제적인 이유로 차별받지 않는 건강한 사회 속에서 행복한 학창시절을 보낼 수 있기를 바란다”고 사업 취지를 밝혔다.
