[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9월 7일 가평군과 가평군지역사회보장협의체는 가평군청 대회의실에서 제13회 가평군 사회복지의 날을 기념해 사회복지 유공자 10명에게 군수 및 군의장 표창장을 수여했다고 밝혔다. 

수상자들은 사회복지현장 최일선에서 남다른 봉사정신으로 지역 내 복지사각지대 발굴 및 소외계층 돌봄을 위해 헌신 봉사한 사람들로 군수 표창장은 협의체 분야 '청평면지역사회보장협의체, 조성철', 노인복지분야 '대한노인회가평군지회, 소수경', 장애인복지분야 '꽃동네은총의집, 김호영', 아동·청소년분야 '가평군청소년문화의집, 전지선', 여성·다문화분야 '건강가정·다문화가족지원센터, 전제남', 봉사단체 분야 대한적십자 경기지사 가평참사랑 봉사회 '가평읍행정복지센터, 임현진' 등 7명이 수상했다고 했다. 

군의장 표창은 협의체분야 '조종면지역사회보장협의체, 송은선', 노인복지분야 '가평군노인복지관, 김영애', 장애인복지분야 '가평군장애인복지관, 정창수' 등 3명이 수상의 영예를 안았다고 했다.  

가평군은 2008년부터 가평군 사회복지의 날 기념식을 매년 개최하였으나 “코로나19로 인해 기념식 개최를 못하게 됨을 양해해 달라”는 당부와 함께 “열악한 복지현장에서도 투철한 사명감으로 지역사회복지 발전에 기여하신 공으로 영예로운 표창을 수상하신 유공자 모두에게 진심으로 축하드린다.”고 격려의 말을 전했다.
