지원 대상 2가구는 기존에 사용하던 연탄·기름 겸용 보일러 중 연탄보일러가 고장 난 상태로 기름보일러만 사용하기에는 난방비가 부담되는 형편이었고, 특히 한 가구는 작년 태풍에 보일러실 천장이 파손되는 피해로 기름보일러가 어는 등 고장이 잦아 보일러 수리비까지 경제적 부담이 가중되는 상황이었고, 미탄면지역사회보장협의체는 이 2가구에 지붕 수리와 연탄보일러 교체를 지원하기로 결정하고, 본격적인 겨울이 시작되기 전에 사업을 서둘러 추진하여 지난 8일 공사를 완료하였다고 전했다.

전인권 공동위원장은 “이번 사업을 통해 난방비 걱정을 덜고 건강하고 따뜻한 겨울을 나길 바라며, 내년에도 협의체 활동을 적극적으로 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.
