[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시 치매안심센터는 치매환자 가족의 경제적 부담을 경감시키고자 치매환자 돌봄에 필요한 조호물품을 무상으로 지원하고 있다고 밝혔다.

조호물품은 성인용 기저귀, 물티슈, 방수 매트, 식사용 앞치마, 바디로션 등 총 5종류로 구성되며, 지원 대상은 동두천시보건소 치매안심센터에 등록된 재가 치매환자 중 배뇨·배변 장애가 있는 자로 조호물품 신청서 및 배뇨·배변 장애 여부가 기록된 의사소견서 등 필요한 서류를 구비하여 신청하면 된다고 했다.

제공 기간은 신청일로부터 1년까지 지급되며, 기초생활수급자 혹은 차상위계층 증명서 제출 시 기한 적용 없이 제공되고, 조호물품에 대한 자세한 사항은 동두천시보건소 치매안심센터로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

치매안심센터 관계자는 “치매환자 및 가족 지원을 위한 서비스를 지속적으로 발굴하여 치매 가족의 부양 부담을 덜어드리기 위해 적극 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
