[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 19일 양주시장애인종합복지관은 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 양주시 저소득 장애인의 영양관리를 위한 ‘행복이 꽃피는 과수원’ 과일지원사업 진행을 위한 업무협약식 및 사업설명회를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

‘행복이 꽃피는 과수원’은 제철과일과 채소 등을 담은 과일바구니로 제작하여 양주시장애인종합복지관 및 양주시드림스타트, 양주시무한돌봄행복센터, 양주시무한돌봄희망센터 등 4개 기관을 통해 관내 저소득 장애인 50가정에 전달되며, 코로나19로 인해 외출이 힘든 장애인들의 우울감 및 스트레스 해소를 위한 반려 과일나무도 함께 지원될 예정이라고 했다.

김정희 관장은 “양주시 저소득 장애인에게 균형잡힌 영양소 섭취를 위한 과일 및 채소 지원사업을 제공할 수 있게 해주신 경기도사회복지공동모금회 북부사업본부에 감사드리며, 또한 지역사회 내 소상공인 업체 활용과 참여로 나눔 참여의 기회를 제공할 수 있게 되어 감사드린다”며 “이번 지원이 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 양주시 저소득 장애인 가정에 큰 힘과 위로가 될 것이다”고 말했다. 

한편 경기도사회복지공동모금회는 1998년에 설립되어 나눔문화를 선도하고 이웃들에게 희망과 용기를 전하는 중추적인 민간복지기관으로 자리매김하고 있다고 전했다.
