[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8월 17일부터 8월 20일까지 4회에 걸쳐 동두천시 평생교육원 시립도서관에서는 초등학생 10여 명을 대상으로 상패동에 있는 남산모루 작은도서관에서 여름독서교실을 운영하여 수강생들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다고 밝혔다.

비록 코로나19 상황이지만 체온 체크, 마스크 착용, 손 소독하기 등 방역 수칙을 준수하며 대면방식으로 진행되었고, 여름독서교실에 참가한 초등학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과 응시자 대부분 만족한다는 의견을 표시하여 초등학생들의 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다고 했다.

이번 여름독서교실에 참가한 초등학생의 부모는 “아이들이 작년에는 코로나19로  활동을 할 수 없어 많이 답답해했는데 올해는 남산모루 작은도서관 여름독서교실에 참여할 수 있어 많이 행복해한다”고 말했다.

시립도서관 관계자는 “이번 설문결과를 바탕으로 향후 남산모루 작은도서관에서 좀 더 다양하고 알찬 프로그램을 기획하고 운영할 예정이니 시민 여러분의 많은 관심 바란다”고 밝혔다.
