[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2월 1일 설 명절을 앞두고 의정부시는 군경 장병들을 격려하기 위해 관내·외 유관기관을 방문해 위문했다고 밝혔다.

안병용 의정부시장은 지난 1월 20일부터 오는 28일까지 육군 5·6군단, 경기북부지방경찰청, 의정부경찰서 등을 방문해 위문하고, 각 부대장 및 기관장과의 간담회를 통해 관·군·경의 단합과 결속을 확인하는 의미있는 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “그간 군·경 장병들의 노고에 감사하다”며 “설 명절을 앞두고도 시민의 안전을 지키기 위해 여념이 없는 장병들이 따뜻한 명절을 보냈으면 좋겠다”라고 밝혔다.
