[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 지난 5일부터 30일까지 소나무재선충병 피해고사목 조기 발견과 선제적 대응을 위해 경기･강원영서 16개 시･군 418천ha 산림에 대해 해당 시･군 등 유관기관과 합동 소나무재선충병 항공예찰을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 항공예찰에는 산림청･지자체 공무원, 방제 설계 전문가 등 49명과 산림청헬기 12대가 투입되어 소나무재선충병 발생지역과 연접 시･군의 선단지 내 피해고사목을 집중 예찰했으며, 피해확산 방지를 위해 선제적으로 대응할 방침이다.

또한, 항공예찰로 발견된 피해지역은 산림병해충예찰방제단 등 가용인력을 활용한 정밀 지상조사와 드론 예찰을 실시하게 되며, 감염의심목의 검경 결과 감염이 확인될 시에는 방제계획에 반영하여 내년 3월까지 방제를 완료할 계획이다.
